We are now stuck, with no keyboard (does work in the bios) and on a Windows "recovery" screen to remove a restore point or continue to attempt to boot. This time a wireless keyboard was used and it worked fine which I was surprised about but rolled with it.įast forward to this morning and the user of the computer tried use a different keyboard (USB) into it, and the computer didn't like it so she rebooted.
Stuff happened (hello move to a new building!) and we just got this computer set back up a couple of weeks ago. I did get it to work by placing the keyboard in the 2nd port from the right on the front. We ordered a new Dell 9020 this summer and out of the box I had problems with the keyboard and mouse (I say this because some have suggested that there's a virus on it). There is a post similar to this one, but it was a few years old and related to Windows XP, so I'm posting up a new one.
