You should hear the kick and bass loud and clear. Next, bypass the hi-pass filter on the kick and the bass tracks. Just slap a Digi 1-band EQ on every track (uses very little DSP), set it to hi-pass, and set the frequency to 200Hz. Put a high pass filter on *every single track* in your mix on insert #1. It's an extreme example which will allow you to very clearly hear what is going on. Ignore any and all posts that say you need to buy "Nuendo". its so much better than any other daw its realy the only system. for all the bull about nuendo sounding better, where are the hit records done on that system? NOWHERE. always track analog and get that little xtra punch.

That crap about nuendo bing better than pro tools is just that.Īnyway, gt an enginer friend of yours (or even hire one for the day) and have hime mix some of your stuff in your rig. This is all about mising ability, experience and patience and has nothing to do with pro tools mix or hd systems being able to sound big and full as i have heard incredible results with my very own home system whe i had a real mix engineer here to work on some stuff for me.
